An interesting play that I created a fun possibility for what the show could be. The script had a very sitcom style of writing so in an effort to capture that feeling the set evolved into a small sound stage for a Home Improvement style sitcom. Bringing in real dirt and fake turf all held by a large flower box where the set lived and a blacked out stage and hazard tape marking site lines for the "cameras". The lighting was reshaped to only bring focus to the sound stage and not the rest of the stage even though the actors were still there just sitting and watching for their cue. Projections and sound effects also played a role in selling the illusion of the television theme.
